What Are Hemorrhoids?

By HW Carter

The pressure on the hemorrhoids can also be increased by straining to go to the bathroom. In spite of the fact that hemorrhoids have also been closely linked with females in pregnancy virtually anyone can be unfortunate enough to come down with this. The good news is hemorrhoids can be easily treated with a proper visit to a doctor.

However, the people that are more at risk of getting hemorrhoids are usually the elderly and women that are pregnant.

The people that will generally be considered more at risk of getting them however are those that are elderly and those women that are pregnant.

There are two types of hemorrhoids that one can experience; external and internal hemorrhoids. The latter, as the name suggests, form inside the anus and the external ones are formed on the entrance to the back passage but actually outside the body. It is these external piles that are less common.

The internal hemorrhoids are graded on a system that scores them from grade one to grade four, grade four being the most painful and also the least common. Grade one is basically hemorrhoids that are inside of the body and cannot be seen from outside of the body and this leads up to grade four, which is when the piles are visibly seen outside of the body.

Even though hemorrhoids may seem like a very serious medical condition, it is easily treated if it is tended to as soon as it is noticed. This can keep the condition from escalating into a more serious health issues.

Although this may seem like a very serious condition, it is one that is very easily treated and if sorted out properly and as soon as they are noticed, do not lead to other and more serious health problems.
