Tips I Learned About Weight Loss From The Biggest Loser

By Xandria Z. Barnetto

Unless you've lived under a rock for the last 5 years or so, or you don't own a TV or Radio, then chances are you've heard about The Biggest Loser show on NBC. This show has really taken the weight loss World by storm. There are many countries now that have their own version of The Biggest Loser.

The show takes two groups of obese people and Team them up with a Trainer. Then the two teams compete for 12 weeks to see who can lose the most weight. Each week, the one Team will end up in a room where they will vote off one person. It's not always the one who has lost the least amount of weight either!

The results achieved by the people on the Ranch took the Country by storm the first few seasons. Real people were losing 70, 80 or even over 100 pounds by the end of the stay. Needless to say, the show is very popular among the overweight crowd as well as those just wanting to lose weight quickly.

Many people have started following the diet and exercises shown on the show to achieve their own amazing weight loss results. I myself have lost over sixty pounds just by following some of the guidelines brought up on the show. It's so simple yet the results are so amazing that anyone who sets their mind to it can lose weight with this method.

The fist tip I learned was to drink a lot of water. I didn't know this back then, but water helps flush fat cells and toxic waste from your body plus its known to boost your metabolism. This alone will increase the numbers of calories your body burns.

Tips number two that I picked up from The Biggest Loser Show was to stop eating two or three big meals a day and start eating smaller meals more often through the day to keep my metabolism fueled. This also helped me to keep from feeling groggy after huge meals. Eating smaller meals more often keeps your metabolism operating at a higher range, thus burning more calories.

Keep a food diary. I didn't realize how important this was until I actually started doing it. Not only did I see almost immediate results, it helped me keep within my target range of calories each day. This is a very important tip and one that will keep you honest about your diet.

Extend your fat burning portion of your workout. Most of us know that our bodies will get into a fat burning mode during cardio exercises. The problem is that most of us don't do enough cardio or don't do them properly for fat loss. The Biggest Loser Show taught me how to do it right and maximize my fat burning efforts.

For those of you who have refused to watch The Biggest Loser show, I'd highly suggest you check it out if you're one of the Millions who need to lose weight. Their proven methods of losing weight is easy to follow and will get you into shape in no time at all.
