Review of Colotox - Colon Cleanse Reviews

By Peter Wood

Today I decided to review Colotox because it seems to be gaining in popularity as well as having a seemingly higher advertising budget. It first glance, it looks like many other colon cleansing product, but when I started to look deeper into the company behind the product, I started to see some red flags. This brief version of my full Colotox review will hopefully give you some insight into what one can expect when purchasing from Colotox.

In terms of ingredients, Colotox is a pretty run of the mill product. It has the regular colon cleansing (fiber based) ingredients that many others have. I don't why one couldn't expect the product to function as it's supposed to. So the product itself seems fine, it's the business practices that have me worried.

Colotox seems to have followed the poor example of many other colon cleansing products by engaging in a sales practice known as an autoship. Autoships themselves aren't necessarily bad, but it's the way the companies use them that can quickly turn them into a scam. Colotox's autoship goes like this: if you get the free trial, you have 14 days to call and cancel the autoship program. If you don't, they will charge you $38.95 every month and start mailing you monthly supplies. Doesn't sound so bad right? Well it wouldn't be if they were upfront about people enrolling in the program. Instead, they hide in the fine print of their terms and conditions where most people won't even read it. Imagine their surprise as they start to see charges that they didn't know where going to hit their credit card. Or you can search some of the complaint boards online if you don't want to image, there are plenty of angry customers detailing their experience.

In addition to having a shady autoship program, if you are able to ever return your product (more on that later) they charge you a 15% restocking fee. It's already not looking good for Colotox. They have definitely created their policies to be favorable to one and only one person...themselves.

I always like to check with the Better Business Bureau to get a general picture of the overall business practices of the company. Not surprisingly, the BBB gave the company behind Coltox (Central Coast Nutraceuticals Inc.) an 'F' rating. You may also be interested to know that there is a complaint filed with the Arizona Attorney General's office regarding deceptive sales practices. Ouch.

In summary, Colotox should be avoided at all costs. If you aware of the autoship, restocking fee, and poor customer service and you still want to purchase Colotox, then go right ahead. But unfortunately most people will get taken advantage of by these shady business practices.
