4 Myths About Ab Exercises

1.Doing exercise daily helps in giving great results. This is absolutely a fake information. Exercising without rest causes wear and tear to muscles which is harmful. These all involve twisting of muscle strands. Muscles grow when they are relaxed, thus doing your abs exercises every day will shortchange yourself of consequences. Besides, you are just breaking down your muscles if you work on them daily.

2.Fatless tummy is obtained by perfect training. It must be noted that when you perform any workout routine, it's all areas of the body that burn fat. Just concentrating on abs alone does not give a perfect shape. Try out for cardio as it is the best way to reduce fat. So without cardio fat gets accumulated under your developed muscle layers. Burning out the calories is a must before developing muscles.

3.Don't support your head when doing crunches. This induces a strain to your neck muscles instead of streching your abs. Repeating this for a lot of time will also lead to serious injuries that cannot even be cured. Your hands and elbows must cross each other in front of your chest instead. Hold your ear while doing crunches.

4.The lower and upper abs muscles are independent. This is completely false. It is a single muscle layer. They are not separate. Whatever abs exercises you do, they target all abdominal spots. Eventhough there are different workouts for upper and lower abs but they still aren't separate. Taking front crunches you can stretch your upper abs. For lower abs, you can do leg and butt raises.
