Tips To avoid back pain

Back pain is often the time when we start thinking about our back and that actually goads us to go right ahead and think about the back. The fact of the matter is that back is one of the most important things that allow us to stand upright.

The back pain when it starts causes us to reflect on the back. The back is basically divided into two portions where one is upper back and one is the lower back. The lower back portion which houses the five vertebrae is known as the lumbar. It is this lumbar which helps us in bending, rotation and lifting.

As far as back pain goes it can happen because of torn ligaments which are tissue portions which join the bone. This tissue can easily tear off when you have been lifting heavy weights. Back pain can also be caused because of the fact that repetitive stress can cause the muscle to compress or certain nerves to be compressed. Then there are spasms which can occur in the back.

The best way to strengthen the back is to exercise but before doing that take medical advice as the doctor may advise only brisk walking and nothing else to strengthen the back. The best exercise which will help the muscles to be strong is the crunches. These help put more muscle into the back area and that prevents back pain.

Then make sure that you have good posture while standing, sitting and sleeping. Almost anytime if we try to lift a heavy weight it puts pressure on the back. So if you are lifting heavy weights then make sure that you bend you knees and squat and the lift the weight as opposed to lifting straight from the ground. That way you are not putting extra stress on your back.

Persons with more than desired body weight will have back problems and there is extra weight which is being put on the back muscles

Exercise regularly and eat good healthy diet so as to maintain a very good back.
