Is warm up important to stay fit & healthy

How important is to warm up before exercise.It is very important to warm up your muscles before you exercise in order to reduce the risk of injury. Warming up will prepare your body for exercise by increasing blood and relaxing your body musles and makes u bit flexible. This will help u to work out in good way.

Warm ups should involve a very slow activity that will increases your heart rate, and makes you feel bit relaxed warmer than usual. Make sure that you warm up the main parts of your body that will be using during your work out period .For example, if you are weight lifter try particular concentrate on the shoulders, arms and leg muscles. so this will have a good effect on the work out that u are doing.

You might find the following warm up tips useful:

Skip gently forone two four minutes - skipping is a great way to warm up because when you skip, you use lots of different muscle groups in your body.
Go for a gentle walk or jog - gentle walking or jogging are great ways to warm up your muscles , more regular exercise. Walking, or jogging, with friends this can help you to stay foucsed and also motivated, and it can be a great way to warm up.
and make sure u sweat befor u go for heavy exercises.



Do some gentle muscle stretches -After you have warmed up your muscles, doing some gentle stretching can be very useful, specially if you are going to do a high speed, or intensive, work out. You should hold stretches for little time like twenty fve to 30 seconds, as long as this feels comfortable for you. However, start by holding stretches for just five seconds, and increase as your body gets more used to exercise. Avoid bouncing as you stretch because this will cause an serious injury.

If you are unsure about how to stretch properly take the hep of your fitness coach or some person whos as the knowledge of exercises.As well as warming up before exercise, you should also make sure that you cool down after your exercise session. Stretch your muscles, and gently walk, or jog.If your main workout involved running, afterwards it is a good idea to run at a slower pace, as part of your cool down. This will help break down any waste material that has accumulated in your leg muscles, and prevent your legs from later becoming sore, or stiff.
